Lighting in video production isn’t just something that allows you to see the subject of your video – it’s one of the most powerful tools for creating mood, focus and emotion. In video production, lighting is just as important as camera and sound because it can change the entire experience of your message.

Light creates atmosphere

Want your video to feel warm, welcoming and human? Use soft, warm light sources.

Want to signal seriousness and professionalism? Use a more neutral or cool light with sharp contours.

Tip: Think about how light can support your visual identity. If your brand colors are warm, the light should reflect that.

Light controls what we see first

In video, light is a tool to guide the viewer’s gaze. A well-placed key light can highlight a speaker while keeping the background darker to avoid distractions.

Pro-trick: Use so-called “motivated lighting” – light that feels natural, as if it comes from a logical source in the scene (e.g. a window, a lamp).

Three basic principles of lighting

  1. Key light – the primary light that shapes the subject
  2. Fill light – softens shadows and provides balance
  3. Back light – separates the subject from the background and adds depth

We develop creative concepts, produce films and content, and help companies tell their stories in a way that creates impact.

The price depends on format, ambition level and scope. We have created price examples on Filmbudget.dk so you can easily get an idea of where your project will end up.

We offer both – everything from brand and campaign films to social media content, explainers, employer branding and event coverage. We find the format that best suits your story.

It depends on the format, ambition level and production. A typical production takes between 2-8 weeks from concept to finished product.

We are based in our studio in Svendborg, but work with customers throughout Denmark and internationally. We are happy to travel when it makes sense.
