Hvordan måler du ROI på video

You have produced a great video. It’s been shared on LinkedIn, posted on the website and sent out in the newsletter.
But… did it work? Or is it just something we feel?

Measuring video ROI (Return on Investment) can seem overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. Here’s a simple guide on how to measure the impact of your video marketing… without guessing.

Start with the goal

ROI depends on what you want to achieve. It could be, for example:

  • More leads
  • Higher conversion on the landing page
  • Increase your brand awareness
  • More job applications (employer branding)

If you don’t have a clear goal, it becomes impossible to measure what you got out of your video – and if you even got what you wanted.

Measurable key figures

Here are some concrete metrics you can track:

Target typeExamples of KPIs
Range of coverageViews, impressions, impressions
CommitmentAverage view time, click-through rate, shares
HandlingLeads, downloads, contact forms
Sale of productsConversions, order count, revenue
RecruitmentApplications, traffic to job site

We don’t recommend measuring all these types of data as it can take a lot of resources and time. Instead, it’s about looking at your goal and choosing the data that is relevant to measure.

Use data you already have access to

  • LinkedIn/Meta Analytics: Look at impressions, clicks and interactions in Metabusiness suite
  • Google Analytics: Track video views and subsequent actions
  • CRM or webshop: How many leads/sales come from the video campaign?

Remember: Not all value is directly measurable

Videos that strengthen your brand, add credibility to your website or explain your services better also have value – even if it doesn’t show up on the bottom line right away.

We develop creative concepts, produce films and content, and help companies tell their stories in a way that creates impact.

The price depends on format, ambition level and scope. We have created price examples on Filmbudget.dk so you can easily get an idea of where your project will end up.

We offer both – everything from brand and campaign films to social media content, explainers, employer branding and event coverage. We find the format that best suits your story.
